referred to Individual Results even after the standings had been merged. Now
the note identifies that these are merged standings and there is no longer a
reference to individual results.
Various Tweaks and Updates.
As we make updates to DerbyMaster we are always
looking at ways to make the existing features even better and more robust.

individual HTML files with a master Table of Contents (index.html) file
which organizes all of the data for you.

starting gate poll prior to reset, and the option to disable the K-2 laser

DerbyMaster now gives you the option to disable
tie breakers from automatically popping up on the screen. If you don't need
them, then disable the tie breaker and continue with your racing without
unwanted interruptions.
USB Comm port support.
If you are using a USB connection, DerbyMaster now
supports Comm ports from 1-99. You no longer need to redo your Comm ports,
just let your computer system assign them as needed, and DerbyMaster will
allow you to use the assigned port number.
Run Time Error when
registering cars and then selecting Print.
This issue has been resolved, and you can now
start DerbyMaster, add users as you need to, and then select the Print
button. The run time issue has been corrected.

now fully supported.
If you have racers who want to choose there own car
number, let them. DerbyMaster now lets you enter whatever car numbers you
want (1 to 9999). By default, DerbyMaster will automatically increment the car number last entered. This means that you do not have to enter car numbers if you don’t want to; DerbyMaster will automatically assign them. However, if you want to use your own numbers, simply overwrite the car number that DerbyMaster has suggested.
Full support for the new
Micro Wizard K-2 Timer.
Micro Wizard has created a new timer that has a number of
new features. DerbyMaster supports all of these new features. From the
countdown mode to the selection of which lanes are usable, DerbyMaster will
make you feel at home with the K-2.
Custom Award categories
can now contain lowercase letters.
You have always been able to create your own awards, and
now DerbyMaster pays attention to the case of the text you enter.
The number of Awards
has changed from 10 to 50.
Now you can create five times the number of
awards! We have come up with some possible award categories, but you will
have to complete the list up to 50! No telling what kind of crafty awards
you will want to present.
Single Elimination ladder diagram now
prints correctly.
You didn't even know you had a
problem, did you? Well, we fixed it.
Removed the Blank button from the
Registration tab.
Now that you can enter any car numbers you want,
this button has been eliminated.
More robust
project files.
You wanted to tinker, but that extra space or tab
you inadvertently entered invalidated the project file. Well, that's all
been fixed. The new project files are extremely tolerant of extra spaces and
tabs.
You can no longer rerun the last race
before the software and hardware are ready.
Now the Rerun Last Race button on the Full Screen
display is not even available until the previous race results have been confirmed.
No more hurrying up to run races until they at least have completed the
cycle.
Merge Project Files has now been
incorporated.
You wanted it, now you have it. Want to combine
the standings from a number of different project files to determine overall
winners? Merge Project Files! Want to combine the registrations from all of
your project files into a single registration from which you can create a final,
overall race schedule? Merge Project Files! Whether you want to create
overall standings, or whether you want to look at overall standings to
select which racers will continue, or whether you simply want to combine all
of the registrations into a single file, Merge Project Files does it. It
will combine all of the selected project files into one overall project
file. From there, it's up to you whether you award standings or create a new
schedule for selected racers. Merge Project Files will take care of it all.
Specific rounds can now be printed from
the schedule.
DerbyMaster will now let you specify which rounds
from the schedule you want to print. The default is all rounds, but if you
just want specific rounds, then print what you need.
DerbyMaster now prompts you to let it
disable the interface to the finish line after all races are completed.
DerbyMaster is trying to ensure that after all
of the races have been completed, the interface to the finish line is
disabled. This will prevent any accidental overwrites of the last race if
your racers are eager to send their cars down the track before you have
closed off your project file or shut down DerbyMaster.
Standings can now be exported.
You can now export the displayed standings to a
tab-delimited file.
All individual car statistics can now
be printed with the click of one button.
From the Derby Statistics page, you now have the
option of printing all of the individual statistics with the click of a
single button.
The new Royal Rangers designations have
been incorporated.
All you have to do is select Royal Rangers from
the Derby Options window, and all of the new Royal Rangers designations will
be used throughout DerbyMaster.
Tie breakers are now run
automatically.
If two or more cars tie, DerbyMaster will prompt
you to place those cars back in the same lanes to run a tie breaker.
DerbyMaster will monitor the tie breaker results and confirm the positions
accordingly. Still tied? DerbyMaster will prompt you to run it again, and
again, and again, until the tie is broken.
The maximum time assessed to a car is
now set by you.
If a car does not cross the finish line, or if it
crosses it very slowly, you set the time that car will receive. By
default, the car is penalized 10 seconds, but you can set it from 1 to
99 seconds.
New in Version 4.0
Driver names can now be
mixed with car numbers
throughout DerbyMaster.
With the newest version of
DerbyMaster you have several different options for displaying driver names
along with car numbers throughout the program (schedule, full screen
display, etc.) You can now choose
from car number only, car number with last name, last name only, car number
and full name, full name only, etc.
Registration
has been simplified.
We have simplified the registration with more intelligent
auto sensing. Some of the enhancements include more intuitive Title Case
verification and better rank recognition. For instance, the rank recognition will now remember the last
rank chosen so that you can
register all of a particular rank without having to constantly change the
rank designation.
"Blank" button
supports user assigned car numbers.
If you want to allow your racers to choose their own
numbers, that is no longer a problem. You can add blank racers with
the click of a button. Add as many numbers as you need and then fill
in the driver information at a later time.
Runoff positions have been
re-implemented.
If you are using the "point" system to score
your race and need to eliminate a tie you can run your runoff race and then
include the runoff position for each car included.
All headers now
reflect the Organization selected.
Your organization's individual titles, as chosen on the
Derby Options screen, are now reflected on all of the headers throughout
DerbyMaster.
Printed individual
statistics now include point summaries and race summaries.
You can print the full statistics
screen for each individual racer.
Awards can now be printed
as certificates.
You can now print your awards as
certificates. Select from one of the included certificates, or create your
own.
More awards and over twice
as many award categories.
We have included more award categories for you to
choose from. Select from one of the included categories, or create your own.
Bracket
designations have been added to
the Single and Double Elimination schedules.
In order to help clarify which bracket is
currently racing, we have
added notices on which bracket is currently scheduled to run, and we have also
added a notice upon reaching the final race. These designations
("Bracket A", "Bracket B", and "FINAL") will
appear on the Race tab and on the Full Screen display.
Full Screen Race display
now supports a Rerun Last Race button.
To simplify rerunning a race, we have
included a button on the full screen display that will allow you to rerun the
previous race without leaving the full screen display. If you need to
rerun an earlier race you will need to go back to the race tab and
locate that race using the "Next" and "Previous"
buttons.
The scenario specific
QuickRace runtime error has been eliminated.
